I offer three types of sessions, Counselling, Hypnotherapy and Walking Therapy to ensure there is something for everyone. Scroll down to find out more.

Counselling 

I work with you on a wide range of issues, either long standing or recent, that you may be experiencing.

Talking therapy is for anyone who's going through a bad time or has emotional problems they need help with. For many adults it may be the same or more effective than medication’. I use psychotherapy and counselling skills to work closely with you to explore difficulties that you may be experiencing. The process helps you to see your situation more clearly while you have a safe space to reflect on and process your emotions.

Psychotherapy and counselling provide you with an opportunity to discuss your issues honestly and openly. Talking with a professional means that you are in a safe and non-judgemental space.

 

I see clients from my therapy rooms in Milton, near Didcot and Wallingford. They are large, light and airy and so social distancing can be successfully achieved.

Walking Therapy 

The benefits of spending time outdoors in the fresh air is well documented. If psychotherapeutic counselling in a therapy room is not for you or you simply prefer to be outside, I offer walking therapy where we walk and talk side by side. Being physically active helps to release tension and therefore allows reflection. Our introductory session will be in the therapy room, online or by phone. We will still work confidentially and can pause our conversation should we encounter others. It is not unusual to see two people walking side by side, we walk in quiet areas in the park or by the river.

Hypnotherapy

So you can take time for yourself, relax, de-stress and become healthier.

 

Hypnotherapy can be used to treat a range of issues such as stress, fear of flying, stopping smoking and losing weight. It draws on relaxation techniques to help you to relax the conscious part of your mind, allowing the subconscious part to be more open to suggestion. After discussing what you want to achieve, I use your ideas and suggestions in a positive way to control your negative thoughts. Whether you are able to relax deeply during hypnosis or stay alert, your subconscious will respond to positive affirmations in order to allow positive change.
